AI IN YOUR FREELANCE WORKFLOW

Know where AI helps.
Know where you lead.

Choose a service and map the work from brief to handoff. Build a plan you can explain to a client.

This is a planning tool, not an AI agent. It does not upload inputs, run prompts, contact clients, or perform the work. Selections and checklist ticks last only in this page session; export your plan to keep it. Review the actual task and client permissions before using an external AI service.

Your working plan

Export includes the selected route, human responsibilities, review gates, and linked resources. A checked box is your own record, not client approval.

Make the plan useful in real work.

What if the client has not approved AI?

Keep the client workflow manual while you clarify the task, proposed tool, information involved, and review process. You can practice separately with the fictional briefs. Do not treat a generic “AI is fine” as approval for every tool or dataset.

Should AI do every stage?

No. Start with one task you understand well enough to judge. Keep AI out when you cannot verify the output, lack permission, or need a decision only a responsible person can make. Uncheck stages that do not fit.

Does this automate the process?

No. The planner produces an editable text plan. The prompts, templates, and checklists help you do the work in tools you choose. Production changes, publishing, and client communications require their own authorization and controls.

How do I know whether the workflow is better?

Define quality first, record the whole task, and compare similar work. Use the AI time-review calculator to include preparation, verification, corrections, and handoff. A fast draft can still create a slow project.
