Fictional practice project. Use it to demonstrate your process, not to claim a client relationship, qualification, or measured business result.
The brief
A fictional independent consultant wants help turning messy notes into a client update. Design a short teaching session with practice and feedback. The learner should leave knowing how to repeat the task and when to stop for clarification.
Your source material
FICTIONAL LEARNER NOTES Confidence: new to AI assistants; comfortable editing documents. Goal: write a concise project update from approved notes. Example project notes: outline approved Monday; draft completed Wednesday; one source citation still needs confirmation; reviewer is away until Friday; publication date has not been agreed. Required output: completed work, next step, blocker, and decision needed. Permissions: use only the fictional notes in this exercise. Constraints: do not invent approvals, dates, citations, or a completed publication. No account creation or paid subscription is part of the exercise.
Work through the project
- Define a task-based learning objective and the evidence that would show understanding.
- Divide 30 minutes into introduction, demonstration, learner practice, review, and repeat-back.
- Prepare a prompt and deliberately include one flawed sample for the learner to critique.
- Ask the learner to verify each claim against the notes, not the assistant’s confidence.
- Write a one-page repeatable checklist and a next practice task.
A judgment call worth noticing
Review your sample
Mark a check only after inspecting your output. Clicking saves these checklist ticks on this browser. Nothing is sent to an AI model. You can clear progress from My saved resourcesAI workflow planner.
Make the work portfolio-ready
Include the fictional brief, your artifact, two decisions you made, and the checks you performed. Explain where AI helped and what you changed. Separate self-review from feedback you actually obtained. Do not claim an outcome you did not measure.
